Carter’s Childcare Services is founded and established by RaMona Lisa Carter, who is a native of Mobile, Alabama. RaMona began her career in childcare with the YWCA of Mobile, in 1998, where she worked diligently under the late Alberta C. Davis, CEO of the YWCA. Mrs. Carter oversaw seven Mobile County Public schools, while under the care of the YWCA before and after school programs, also known as SCHOOL-MATE. RaMona also single- handed added four schools and received contracts with Mobile Community Action Head Start Centers.
Carter’s Childcare Services will serve as a bridge to strengthen and renew children to produce self-esteem, self-reliance, and self-respect. The goals of Carter’s Childcare are academic improvements, enrichment, parental and community involvement. Carter’s Childcare Services focuses on developing well rounded children through instruction, information, and inspiration.
RaMona Carter is a graduate of Murphy High School, and Bishop State Community College. RaMona is certified through the Department of Human Resources and Early Childhood Development, she licensed through the City of Mobile and Prichard Alabama. RaMona is the CEO and Founder of Carter’s Childcare and the Co- founder of Carter’s Tax and Business Solutions. RaMona is a certified substitute teacher with the Mobile County Public School System, she is a Notary for the State of Alabama at Large. Mrs. Carter has served as Youth Director and Vacation Bible School Director at Christians United Church, where she is a Sunday School Teacher, she has worked with several non-profit and community organizations throughout the city where she has dedicated countless volunteer hours of mentoring and working with youth and young adults. RaMona has been married to C.J. Carter for twenty-one years, she is the mother of two beautiful children, Kendra Lawson, and Cameron Carter.
